Thanks to the use of the 4 nm process node, the manufacturer achieved an excellent balance of performance. The chip is installed in the compatible motherboards socket. It features 6 cores and 12 threads, making it an excellent choice for modern tasks. By default, the cores function at 4.3 GHz. Under heavy loads, the frequency can automatically increase up to 5 GHz. For fast data exchange, 16 MB of third-level cache memory (L3) is provided. The TDP level for this model is set within 35 W. The gaming performance of Ryzen 5 7640HS is at a high level.
