AMD released the EPYC 7J13 processor :year_text, expanding its popular :family_text series. Thanks to the use of the 7 nm process node, the manufacturer achieved an excellent balance of performance. The chip is installed in the compatible motherboards socket. It features 64 cores and 128 threads, making it an excellent choice for modern tasks. In standard mode, the chip operates at 2.6 GHz. During resource-intensive tasks, the clock speed boosts to an impressive 3.5 GHz. Thanks to 256 MB of L3 cache, latency when accessing RAM is reduced. Nominal power consumption (TDP) is 280 W, so adequate cooling should be considered. The gaming performance of EPYC 7J13 is at a high level. Architectural improvements and a spacious cache allow the system to rapidly process game engine physics.
