AMD released the Ryzen 9 7900X processor :year_text, expanding its popular :family_text series. Thanks to the use of the 5 nm process node, the manufacturer achieved an excellent balance of performance. The chip is installed in the compatible motherboards socket. The computational arsenal of this model includes 12 cores, capable of executing 24 instruction threads simultaneously. By default, the cores function at 4.7 GHz. Under heavy loads, the frequency can automatically increase up to 5.6 GHz. Moreover, an unlocked multiplier opens up possibilities for further manual overclocking. Thanks to 64 MB of L3 cache, latency when accessing RAM is reduced. The processor's base thermal design power (TDP) is stated at 170 W. This is an uncompromising option for gaming. The chip demonstrates outstanding results in esports disciplines and demanding open-world games, minimizing frame rate drops (1% Low).
