AMD released the Ryzen 7 8840HS processor :year_text, expanding its popular :family_text series. The die is produced using 4 nm technology. A motherboard with a compatible motherboards platform will be required for PC assembly. The die configuration includes 8 computing cores with support for 16 threads. By default, the cores function at 3.3 GHz. Automatic overclocking algorithms allow the chip to accelerate up to 5.1 GHz when the system demands it.
