AMD released the Ryzen 7 4800H processor :year_text, expanding its popular :family_text series. Thanks to the use of the 7 nm process node, the manufacturer achieved an excellent balance of performance. The chip is installed in the compatible motherboards socket. The CPU received 8 physical cores. Thanks to multi-threading technology, it processes up to 16 data threads. In standard mode, the chip operates at 2.9 GHz. Under heavy loads, the frequency can automatically increase up to 4.2 GHz. For fast data exchange, 8 MB of third-level cache memory (L3) is provided. Nominal power consumption (TDP) is 45 W, so adequate cooling should be considered. In entry-level or mid-range gaming builds, this processor will perform confidently, providing acceptable frame rates when using an appropriate graphics accelerator.
