The EPYC 7551 model:family_text, developed by AMD engineers, expanded the range of desktop solutions :year_text. Thanks to the use of the 14 nm process node, the manufacturer achieved an excellent balance of performance. The chip is installed in the compatible motherboards socket. The CPU received 32 physical cores. Thanks to multi-threading technology, it processes up to 64 data threads. In standard mode, the chip operates at 2 GHz. Under heavy loads, the frequency can automatically increase up to 3 GHz. Moreover, an unlocked multiplier opens up possibilities for further manual overclocking. The L3 smart cache size is 64 MB, which positively affects the overall system responsiveness. The manufacturer indicates heat dissipation at 180 W in standard operating mode. This is an uncompromising option for gaming. The chip demonstrates outstanding results in esports disciplines and demanding open-world games, minimizing frame rate drops (1% Low).
