The EPYC 7401 model:family_text, developed by AMD engineers, expanded the range of desktop solutions :year_text. The hardware foundation of the die is based on 14 nm manufacturing norms, ensuring high transistor density. The compatible motherboards connector is supported. Multitasking is implemented through 24 cores and 48 computing threads, which is sufficient for comfortable work. By default, the cores function at 2 GHz. Under heavy loads, the frequency can automatically increase up to 3 GHz. Since the multiplier here is unlocked, enthusiasts will be able to squeeze additional megahertz out of the processor. The L3 smart cache size is 64 MB, which positively affects the overall system responsiveness. The TDP level for this model is set within 170 W. In gaming scenarios, this model unleashes its full potential. Thanks to fast cores, the processor won't be a 'bottleneck' even when paired with powerful graphics cards, guaranteeing smooth gameplay.
